Habe ich schon erwähnt, dass die kleinen Steine auf dem Weg zu meiner Hochzeit mit der Wissenschaft momentan den Charme des Ayers Rock haben?

* Die Gewerkschafts/AK-Bibliothek Kagenfurt ist gar nicht so schlecht sortiert, hat ihre Bücher aber alle verliehen. Resultat: Pflicht, nach Salzburg in die Universitätsbibliothek zu pilgern.

* Ich habe bei mehreren Aufsätzen vergessen, die Fundstelle korrekt aufzuschreiben. Wenn die eigene Dummheit und Schlamperei einem 14 Stunden mehr Arbeit beschert, verspürt man den unwiderstehlichen Drang, irgend jemandem irgend etwas Schlechtes zu tun. Eventuell könnte es sich bei irgend jemandem um einen selbst handeln. Irgend etwas Schlechtes könnte eventuell sehr autoaggressive Züge tragen.

* Mir wird übel und schwindlig vor Selbstmitleid, wenn ich einen neuen Aufsatz lese. Das hängt damit zusammen, dass ich momentan nur lauter Zeug lese, das mir ohnehin schon bekannt ist.

* Zusätzlich sollte ich eine Seminararbeit schreiben, die eine sehr kurze Abgabefrist hat. Was dazu führt, dass Arbeit an der Diss Betrug an der Seminararbeit darstellt. Und vice versa.

* Ich bin eindeutig nicht für die Wissenschaft gemacht. (Auflösen der Verlobung?)

* Die Eisenverstärkung an der Wand ist bereits brüchig, weil ich immer mit dem Kopf dagegen schlage *rumms*. Vielleicht sollte ich mir eher so ein Genie-Hämmerchen zulegen wie Daniel Düsentrieb?

PS (edit): Erneut frage ich mich, warum das gesamte Unipersonal (die Lehrenden, die Sekretärinnen, einfach alle…) so nett zu mir ist. Vielleicht, weil sie nichts davon wissen, wie die dunkle Seite der Macht (die Nichtwissenschaft, das Internetsurfen und das Selbstmitleid) mich zu sich ruft? Oder vielleicht weil sie genau von diesen Verlockungen wissen? Fragen über Fragen. Außerdem ist es sehr unerwachsen, von ein paar freundlichen Worten mehr motiviert zu sein als durch inneres Feuer.

Es gibt immer wieder eine Digestenexegese.

workout and baby

I started my taekwondo training after nearly 2 years of pause. I’m not attending any classes (C. and baby-A. wouldn’t like that) but I’m working out at home.
Did you ever try push-ups with a baby on your back? An acquaintance of mine who finished military school told me that they did push-ups with sandbags on their backs. A baby seens way cooler, don’t you think?
I have the intention to really work out on a daily 20min basis (together with the baby). Once a week I’m going into serious (home)training for an hour or so.

Let’s see if the work out works out.

Wenn der Weg klar ist, aber deine Füße ihn nicht gehen wollen… Was dann?

Selbstverständlich ist dies eine metaphorische Frage. Eventuell könnte es sich beim Gegenstand meiner metaphorischen Betrachtung um meine Dissertation handeln.

Es gibt einen Beamtentypus, den ich den „theresianischen Menschen“ genannt habe. Dabei handelt es sich um eine bestimmte Spezies on Beamten und Offizieren, die in der Monarchie absichtlich geschult wurde, etwa seit der Zeit Maria Theresias. Die Tugenden, die dieser Typus verkörpert, sind Konzilianz, Menschenverständnis, Geduld mit den menschlichen Schwächen und stoische Weisheit. Sie haben sich in der Beamtenschaft bis zum Ersten Weltkrieg fortgesetzt und etwas abgeschwächt bis 1938. Erst die Nazizeit hat diesen Typus als unnütz und altmodisch erscheinen lassen. (…) Theresianische Menschen gibt es in Österreich noch immer. Es sind Menschen mit ausgeprägter Großzügigkeit, Herzensgüte und Sehnsucht nach tiefen Freundschaften. Nur werden sie nicht mehr als Qunitessenz der österreichischen Einmalikgkeit gesehen. Aber ihre Ideale leben als Maßstab fort.

Mein kleiner Beitrag zum Nationalfeiertag. Ich fand diese Worte sehr schön. Und wenn man mich fragt, was ich an Österreich liebe, so würde ich Worte wie diese zu finden versuchen. ^^
