What’s the last book you’ve read that you thought was really good? If you don’t have one, what looks promising on your to-be-read list?
Faulkner: Light in august. It was a very ugly book, but a very good book. Though I was far more bothered by the way women are treated and described than about the racial stuff that was the book’s actual topic.

Actually I’m not doing anything of that kind. I wouldn’t want anyone to watch me writing my diary (reading the finished diary wouldn’t be as bad, don’t ask me why), but I could live with that, being only slightly bothered.
